Supersonic Recognition for the Final Volume of Weinberg’s String Quartets

We are delighted to come to the end of an extraordinary musical journey.

Today, June 6, 2026, marks the release of the final album in the complete set of Mieczysław Weinberg’s 17 string quartets, a major recording project undertaken by Arcadia Quartet in collaboration with Chandos Records and presented as a 6-disc set.

The new CD, Mieczysław Weinberg: String Quartets, Volume 6 (Quartets Nos. 10, 12, and 17, Aria, Op. 9, Capriccio, Op. 11), has received the highest distinction, “Supersonic”, from Pizzicato magazine.
