We are excited to announce that the second edition of our chamber music workshop, Arcadia Chamber Music Classes – atelier and chamber music concerts will take place between the 6th and the 18th of August 2023 in Cluj-Napoca.
The workshop is dedicated to chamber music ensembles that include at least one string instrument. Eight ensembles will be given the opportunity to work with each member of the Arcadia Quartet during the 13 days of the Atelier.
We will also celebrate chamber music with three magnificent concerts: the Arcadia Quartet will open the masterclasses on August 6 with a celebratory concert, while the end of the programme will be marked by two concerts held by the participating ensembles on August 17 and 18. Save the date and see you there!
The Arcadia Chamber Music Classes – atelier and chamber music concerts is an event organised by the Arcadia Quartet through the Association Arcadia Quartet and is dedicated to existing chamber music ensembles formed by young musicians. The masterclasses will take place between August 6-18, 2024 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

The participants will benefit from two 60 minute work session with each of the members of the quartet during the masterclass. The project will end with two closing concert, where the participating ensembles will be performing.
The Chamber music workshop with the Arcadia Quartet aims to encourage, guide and promote young musicians in their professional development, through the art of chamber music:
- to deepen and expand their knowledge related to the repertoire, but to also discover new interpretations, visions;
- to improve as an ensemble by sharpening and sensitising their distributive attention and by assimilating the music;
- to offer them the concert, stage experience, which has a very important role in their artistic development, emphasising constructive emotion management through chamber music workshops held by the members of the Acadia Quartet.
The project also aims to promote the chamber music repertoire, supporting and establishing the local and universal music culture by organising two concerts which are held by the Arcadia Quartet, respectively the students participating in the workshop, which are open to general public.
