ARCADIA CHAMBER MUSIC CLASSES is a beloved project of the Arcadia Quartet, an event aimed at providing space for growth and development, a place for sincere and constructive meetings, dialogues between students and mentors, a centre for chamber music, a temple of culture, where artists have the opportunity to connect through an equitable exchange of experiences, enriching the cultural life through concerts of the highest quality offered to the general public.

The event includes chamber music masterclasses dedicated to string chamber ensembles (which include at least one string instrument), and chamber concerts performed by the Arcadia Quartet, as well as its guests and participants of the masterclass.

As part of the project, participants will also have the opportunity to attend an open rehearsal of the Arcadia Quartet followed by a free discussion with the members, one lecture by musicologists or specialist, workshops on managing stage fright and emotions, interpersonal relationships in a chamber ensemble, public speaking, Alexander Technique, writing the ensemble’s artistic biography, a photo session, im house luthier, as well as a resting day for community building.

The ARCADIA CHAMBER MUSIC CLASSES aims to encourage, guide and promote young musicians in their professional development, through the art of chamber music:
  • to deepen and expand their knowledge related to the repertoire, but to also discover new interpretations, visions;
  • to improve as an ensemble by sharpening and sensitising their distributive attention and by assimilating the music;
  • to offer them the concert, stage experience, which has a very important role in their artistic development, emphasising constructive emotion management through chamber music workshops held by the members of the Acadia Quartet.
The project also aims to promote the chamber music repertoire, supporting and establishing the local and universal music culture by organising concerts which are held by the Arcadia Quartet, an internationally acclaimed guest quartet, and the students participating in the workshop, which are open to general public.
