The Chamber music workshop [Atelier de muzică de cameră] is an event organised by the Arcadia Quartet through the Association Arcadia Quartet and is dedicated to existing chamber music ensembles formed by young musicians from Romania aged 15-30. The masterclasses will take place between June 27 and July 3, 2021 in Cluj-Napoca.
The Arcadia Quartet will open the workshop with a chamber music concert.
The participants will benefit from at least one 50 minute long work session with each of the members of the quartet during the 5 days of the masterclass. The project will end with a closing concert, where the participating ensembles will be performing.

The Chamber music workshop with the Arcadia Quartet aims to encourage, guide and promote young musicians in their professional development, through the art of chamber music:
  • to deepen and expand their knowledge related to the repertoire, but to also discover new interpretations, visions;
  • to improve as an ensemble by sharpening and sensitizing their distributive attention and by assimilating the music;
  • to offer them the concert, stage experience, which has a very important role in their artistic development, emphasizing constructive emotion management through chamber music workshops held by the members of the Acadia Quartet.
The project also aims to promote the chamber music repertoire, supporting and establishing the local and universal music culture by organising two concerts which are held by the Arcadia Quartet, respectively the students participating in the workshop, which are open to general public.

Organiser of the project: Association Arcadia Quartet
The Association Arcadia Quartet was founded in 2013 by the members of the Arcadia Quartet – Ana Török, Răsvan Dumitru, Traian Boală and Zsolt Török –, in order to create an optimal framework for promoting chamber music, particularly supporting  the work and activities of the Quartet.

The Association Arcadia Quartet aims to:
  • promote classical music at the highest possible level,
  • discover, rediscover and to share the vast repertoire of chamber music written for string quartet (and beyond),
  • support and guide young musicians,
  • emphasize the importance of music education,
  • spreading cultural and artistic values at home and abroad
